This professional meat hammer by WESTMARK is great for tenderizing meat effectively. It features two different surfaces:
The structured side gently tenderizes meat and is also great for "bringing in" herbs.
The other side has a number of small stainless steel blades that cut into the fibers of the meat, making even chewy meat much more tender. This side is also great to reduce the time needed for marinading because the marinade can deeply penetrate the meat.
